A week ago (Nov 30th) I had the pleasure of being invited to Indigo in Barrie for a book signing, and I’m happy to report it was a tremendous success.
They had a great spot for me right at the entrance, giving me a great chance to engage with readers upon arrival. Everyone, from the store’s staff to the customers themselves, were delightfully friendly. Even those not into sci-fi (shame shame…) were eager to entertain a little witty banter.
And I’m happy to report that those into sci-fi (or looking for a gift for the sci-fi lover in their life) reacted extremely positively to Pale Grey Dot. Whether it was complimenting the cover design (thanks Jamis), checking out the wonderful testimonials from Jason Pchajek or David Annandale, or even reading the first few pages, readers seemed intrigued to check it all out.
So how did the signing go overall? Allow me to present to you a Before picture…
…and an After picture…
Yep, completely sold out! A++ would sign again.
Thanks go to Peggy, the manager at Indigo Barrie, and Sharon, my publisher at Turnstone, for setting all this up. Let’s see if we can do more in the future!
