I’m happy to announce that PALE GREY ECHO, the sequel to the 2024 Aurora Award Finalist Pale Grey Dot, will be hitting bookstores in 2027.
On May 5th of 2024, Pale Grey Dot was released to the world. Now, almost three years later, I’m happy to report that its sequel, Pale Grey Echo, has been picked up by Ravenstone, an Imprint of Turnstone Press.
So what’s next? Well, the first draft is with the publisher now, and they seem pretty darn happy with it. Over the next few months we’ll go through the editorial process; that means doing structural edits, followed by copy edits (typos, grammar, and that kind of stuff).
Release is expected for 2027, and as we get closer I’ll be sure to share updates on how editing is going, and tidbits on what to expect as Cherny, Jenna, and Ezza dive back into the world of saving (or possibly ruining) the solar system. But here’s a lil’ teaser:
Pale Grey Echo, the follow up to Aurora Award Finalist novel Pale Grey Dot, continues to follow Ezza, Cherny, and Jenna, as the focus shifts to a brewing rebellion in the great floating cities in the skies above Venus. Watch for Pale Grey Echo in 2027.
Don Miasek writes from smack dab in the middle of Toronto, Canada. An editor for TDotSpec, he’s had a hand in bringing Amazon best seller Imps & Minions and Strange Wars to market as well as Speculative North magazine. Called “One heck of a debut novel.” By R. Graeme Cameron of Amazing Stories, his Aurora Finalist novel, Pale Grey Dot, was also listed as one of the Best Books of 2024 on The 49th Shelf.
