Pale Grey Dot First and foremost, the first wave of revisions on my scifi epic are off to the editor! She gave superb suggestions on how to tighten up the manuscript. I consider myself pretty damn good at pacing, and yet she still managed to find places to trim. Is it possible someone is even better at it than me? Hard to imagine 🙂 A common question I get is whether I know what the cover would look like. This is where that trite “don’t judge a book by its cover” line…
Yes, the cat’s out of the bag! My debut sci-fi novel, PALE GREY DOT, has been sold to Ravenstone (an imprint of Turnstone Press). You can read the official announcement here. Pale Grey Dot (or possibly Pale Gray Dot… we’ll see) tells the story of three ex spies, disgraced and exiled after a mission gone horrible wrong, forced to reunite to deal with a conspiracy to take over the solar system’s totalitarian government. I’ve been working on this for a couple years now. This is the culmination of long nights of writing, long days of getting feedback from the Toronto Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Group, and back to long nights of revisions. I’m excited to share more with you as the process continues and I have a better timeline of when Pale Grey Dot will be hitting book stores near you.
